Built for people
worth building for.
Not every good business should be a venture, and not every engagement should involve equity. These are scoped, paid projects for people building something of their own — a keynote speaker, an executive coach, a local service business. Same build engine. Different commercial structure.
Two tracks.
One build engine.
The ventures are companies I own a piece of — Mentra, VectraIQ, NordScope, VILDR. Long horizons, shared risk, equity on both sides. That is still the centre of what I do.
Client work is the other track: defined scope, fixed fee, no equity, clean handover. It works where the brief is clear and the person behind it is building something they actually care about. The standard of the build does not change — only the commercial structure does.
Idea stage to live product. Equity, board seats, long-term alignment. I carry the risk with you and stay invested in the outcome.
See the ventures →Defined brief, fixed scope, fixed fee. You own everything at the end — code, domain, content, analytics. No retainer lock-in, no dependency by design.
How the engagement works →Three briefs.
Three live sites.
A speaker selling to enterprise L&D, a coach selling to senior leaders who don't want to be seen asking, and a local service business competing on search. Three completely different commercial problems.
Clear brief.
Fixed scope. Yours at the end.
I'm selective about what I take on in this model — it works when the brief is genuinely clear and the business behind it is worth building for. If that sounds like what you're working on, tell me where you are.
